Outreach
Local Outreach
Every month we have a local mission/outreach project to focus on. In the past we have sewn happy pillowcases for the kids at CHOP, collected school supplies, made shawls and tote bags for nursing home residents, collected hats, mittens etc for Code Blue shelters, personal care items and books for VA hospital vets, just to name a few. We maintain an ongoing shopping cart collecting food and supplies for 2 local food banks. See our recent newsletter for our most recent projects.

Yard Sale
Every spring our church holds a yard sale that allows us to meet people from the community and raise funds for out outreach projects. Members, friends and family join together to donate items for sale and all items that haven’t sold are donated to local organizations such as the Salvation Army, Liberty Thrift, and The Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Adopt a Family

Each Thanksgiving and Christmas, Evansburg UMC reaches out to families who need extra love, support, and assistance. For Thanksgiving, we collect food to help provide a meaningful holiday meal. At Christmas, we partner with families to learn their wishes and provide gifts that bring joy and hope to the season.
If you would like to help, consider donating food items, purchasing a gift, or making a contribution toward this ministry. Your generosity can make the holidays brighter for a family in need.
American Red Cross Blood Drive
Twice each year, our church is blessed to welcome the American Red Cross for a community blood drive. This important ministry offers a simple but powerful way to serve our neighbors and help meet the ongoing need for blood donations.
Please give the gift of life. We invite members of our congregation and the surrounding community to take part by donating blood, encouraging others to donate, or helping us share the word.
