Yard Sale
Every spring our church holds a yard sale that allows us to meet people from the community and raise funds for out outreach projects. Members, friends and family join together to donate items for sale and all items that haven’t sold are donated to local organizations such as the Salvation Army, Liberty Thrift, and The Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Adopt a Family
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” Hebrews 13:16
Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, Evansburg UMC adopts one or more families who are in need of love, support and a helping hand.
At Thanksgiving, we work to collect food for families in need and at Christmas we work with the families to learn what their wishes are for Christmas gifts.
American Red Cross Blood Drive
Twice a year, our church hosts the American Red Cross to bring awareness of of the importance of donating blood.
We welcome everyone in the local community to stop in and donate.

Red Bird Mission
Red Bird Mission, a non-profit agency located in the Appalachian mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, empowers individuals and advocates justice by providing educational, health, and community outreach ministries to area low-income residents. It is an Institution of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church within the Red Bird Missionary Conference.
We have been contributing directly to Red Bird Mission for many years. A performing music group from Red Bird School traveled around the U S to perform for and thank its supporters. The group made a stop at Evansburg UMC and performed in our sanctuary.
UMCOR

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) provides disaster relief to people around the world.
UMCOR is an Institution of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church and works alongside the Red Cross and the United Nations. Because disasters occur more frequently and are more serious in places that need relief on a continuing basis, UMCOR is often already on the scene.
Evansburg UMC often helps UMCOR by providing donations, health kits and clean-up buckets.

The Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church provides relief, aid and spiritual ministry to peoples worldwide. The General Board of Global Ministries is the global mission agency of The United Methodist Church.
All United Methodist congregations are assessed a contribution to the Global Ministries on an annual basis. Evansburg congregation is included and we make a contribution to Global Ministries annually from our general budget.
